Peugeot 508 RXH – It’s Good But What Is It For?

I always applaud efforts by car makers to try something that moves at least part of their range out of the ‘mainstream’ even if it doesn’t always work out. The RCZ-R from the French manufacturer is a fine little sports car for example but is, alas being, deleted from the catalogue. That’s a shame and a sign of the times. The Peugeot 508 RXH is another example; it is the company’s effort to add a premium ‘all-roader’ model to the range but sadly it doesn’t quite come off. Continue reading

Jeep Cherokee Limited – Out And About

In the ever-expanding world of the SUV the (to give it the full title) Jeep Cherokee 2.2L Multijet 4WD Auto Limited has much to recommend it. Although it says ‘Since 1941’ on the steering wheel this big car has little in common with the original of legend. Sharing an Alfa Romeo platform, the Cherokee is more Sergio Leone than Clint Eastwood in that it has lost the butch, rugged American looks in favour of something more sleek and European. Infiniti Q30 – First Drive

Let’s get one thing straight from the outset. I am not going to do any ‘To infinity and beyond!’ jokes; I only went to Reading. So it was that, bright and early with the weather staying mercifully dry, I rolled up at the Infiniti premises in the aforementioned town to trial the new Infiniti Q30 Active Compact hatchback and cast a stern, discerning eye over the showroom stock.
