Ford Focus RS: It’s A Hot Hatch Love-In!

If you are prone to nausea then please look away now as this article is a prime example of an over-the-top automotive love-in. You see, the word that immediately springs to my mind here is, Wow! I had to keep telling himself that this car is, after all, a Focus, the mainstay of the mainstream market. But this is no ordinary Ford, oh no. It is very special yet the vehicle in the images, with its special Ford Focus RS sparkly paint and a number of must-have extras, like those awesome wheels, costs just £36,545 in the UK which in my opinion is a bit of a bargain that sets new benchmarks for driving at this price point. See the full spec below. Continue reading

Upgrade Your Car With Window Tinting & Other Mods

With the price of new cars being what they are coupled with that first year depreciation, many people prefer to or have to buy a used car simply on the basis of cost but even this can get expensive. Trouble is, as much as we might love our regular ride we often fancy a change meaning more expense and hassle. There is another way.

Some money will have to be spent, that’s a given with cars, but what about upgrading your own motor? There are many of ways to modify any vehicle. Here are just a few of them: Continue reading

DS3 Performance: Trés Chic, Trés Quick

A little while ago I wrote (HERE to be precise) that I had lost that lovin’ feeling when it comes to the hot hatch sector. I stand by what I wrote because I feel that manufacturers seem to be in the middle of a ‘who can make the fastest hot hatch’ competition at, imho, the expense of good old-fashioned fun. The DS3 Performance featured here with 202bhp is by no means the fastest or most aggressive and there is much to like with the car; but I still feel it has a surfeit of performance at the expense of driving enjoyment. Hot Hatch Love Lost?

At the time of writing this I am driving a DS3 Performance. That’s it above. With its Parisian boulevardier looks and feisty engine it is the very epitome of a hot hatch. There’s much I like and some things I like not. I’ll write a pretty positive review soon; but there’s a problem. Continue reading

Britain On Top Of The WRC Rallying World

Britain is firmly back at the top of the World Rally Championship (WRC) tree – of that there can be no argument. And Britain has arrived there just in time for one of the most exciting, entertaining and open seasons in the series’ 43-year history; again, an indubitable fact. Continue reading

Red Bull TV To Revolutionise WRC TV Coverage

Red Bull TV is set to revolutionise the coverage of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2017, with a pioneering approach that will bring fans of the high-octane sport closer to the action than ever before. For too long viewers in this country have been starved of decent coverage. This is especially good news as 2017 is going to be spectacular, with new cars and driver changes. Champion Sebastien Ogier has switched to the Ford M-Sport team, which will be a new challenge for him. Continue reading

Red Bull Rocks WRC Rally Stars

Great news rally fans! With non-stop action on snow, mud, tarmac, gravel and even sometimes the surrounding countryside, the FIA World Rally Championship radiates adrenalin. The aforementioned great news then is that next year the WRC will be seen for the first time live on Red Bull TV. Continue reading

Volkswagen World Rally Team Stop At The Top

As a Rally enthusiast I from time to time try to persuade others that there is no better branch of motor sport. Driving as it should be and far more exciting a spectacle than the tedium that is Formula One. Although there are many diehard fans (see Rally Wales) for some odd reason this sport has failed to ignite the public as it once did in the deadly days of the old Group B cars. It doesn’t help when the most successful team ups and quits without a word of warning. Continue reading

Audi RS6 Performance: What’s That…

I rarely take strong drink. This is because I obviously spend a lot of my time driving and as we know all too well these two pleasures of the flesh don’t mix. This is both a blessing and a curse to me. It is a blessing because I don’t get to consume much alcohol and it is a curse because I don’t get to consume much alcohol. Continue reading
