The Fastest Cars Of 2017

2017 is the year of the ultimate Speed freak. Gone are the days when 200 mph was the holy grail of motoring. Today there are many cars which have breached this once impossible threshold. Indeed, some of the fastest cars of 2017 completely obliterate 200 mph. It seems 2017 has thrown up a new unreachable target, the lords of asphalt are now on a mission to create a mind boggling 300 mph, road legal car. Continue reading

Artisan Cars

First there was wheat. Then someone said, “I know, let’s grind it up, mix it with water and yeast and cook it. We could call it ‘bread’. And that’s pretty much how things stood for centuries, until someone decided that it would be better if they removed most of the nutritional value, cooked it over water so that is was steamed, slice it, wrap it and stick it on a shelf where it will last for ages and thus be more cost effective. In this case the car on test is an A4 saloon with a 2.0L TFSI 248bhp (252PS) quattro S-tronic in S-Line trim. It has got the lot. If you check out the options list below I cannot frankly see anything I would like to add, except maybe Audi’s Virtual Cockpit which is the best thing since sliced bread. I would also like to specify a lower price. Continue reading

Jaguar XE R-Sport 2.0L Diesel – Business As Usual

There are Jaguars for work and there are Jaguars for play. In this case, here’s a car that is the business. The Jaguar XE featured here in R-Sport trim certainly looks the part; the looks are understated yet racy but that’s as far as the performance goes. You see, this model is a diesel and is not designed for high speed travel; it is designed for comfort with matching economy and on that score it certainly delivers. Continue reading
