Two New Subaru Cars Announced

As I’ve mentioned before, I like a Subaru. They may not be trendy but they are dependable, rugged and well made. Now, Subaru have been pleased to announce that an all-new Subaru XV will make its global debut at the this year’s Geneva International Motor Show to be held in Switzerland from the 7th to the 19th of March. Suzuki Jimny: Go Tell The Spartans

I love the Suzuki Jimny. It is not a car that follows fads or trends. It does its own thing in its own time. It will not be hurried but will get on with job when required. It’s motto is, ‘I am what I am and that’s all that I am’. It does not assume airs and graces. It is an honest car. It is anti-fashion. Continue reading

Skoda Octavia Scout – Practical Power & Purpose

I like a Skoda. I may have mentioned this before. They are competitively priced, well made and always surprisingly commodious. The Skoda Octavia Scout featured here is no different and is, in my opinion, worthy of consideration, especially for country dwellers. The Subaru Levorg GT – Out And About

Regular readers will know that I am partial to a Subaru. To me they have a feeling of solidity and robustness that feels planted on the road. Generally, reaction to the Subaru Levorg Grand Tourer has been mixed; everyone agrees that it has a capable and well engineered permanent 4×4 system but it doesn’t float many boats overall. So I may be sailing against the tide here but I really rate it. Continue reading

The New & Improved Subaru XV

Subaru XVI have always been a great fan of Subaru vehicles. When I first tried the XV it was fine but I was a bit underwhelmed, sad to say, because I liked the look of it. Now fortunately Subaru UK has announced a raft of modifications and upgrades to the interior and chassis of the XV compact crossover. The changes will hopefully result in improvements to cabin refinement and ambience plus an improved drive. There’s a new infotainment system too, first seen on the new Outback earlier this year. Jaguar F-Type – With AWD and Manual Gearbox For 2015.

A while back I had the pleasure of the company of an F-Type Jaguar (here) and mentioned that more was to come from this great car – well, here it is. The all-aluminium sports car, will next year set new standards for dynamics and driver involvement with the addition of intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD) and six-speed manual transmission options plus Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) standard across the range. Continue reading
