Honda Civic Sport Plus: Now It’s Just Right

Both of the previous two incarnations of the modern era Honda Civic have been very good cars. When all about them boxy hatchbacks thrived the Swindon based company went for a stylish dart shape which proved to be very popular right down to the triangular exhaust outlets. Continue reading

Banging The Drum For Honda & Swindon

The 10th generation of the extremely attractive new Honda Civic has been unveiled at the company’s UK manufacturing base in beautiful down-town Swindon, Gateway To The West; and by west I mean as far as the United States. Production of the car is already underway and the first units already are landing in North America. Continue reading

Honda – Department Of ‘We Want It Here’

I was reading a car review post by Denis Flierl the other day (here) on a website I contribute to and liked the style of the Honda Civic Coupe Tourer that’s on sale in the United States. I’m a fan of our Civic and of Honda cars generally. Honda is my local car manufacturer, being just along the road from me in beautiful uptown Swindon, so I take a proprietary interest in the doings. Honda Civic Type R – Men 2 Boyz

One of the things that gladdens my heart is the knowledge that car makers are still prepared to build cars like the Honda Civic Type R featured here. People who ask, ‘what is the point of vents and gills that don’t appear to do anything’, are, by saying that, missing the very point of them. Continue reading

The Honda HR-V – Crossover Style

Amazingly, it has been ten years since the Japanese company’s  last offering that carried the Honda HR-V name. It was a boxy, slightly disappointing SUV-style car that didn’t really capture the public’s attention. This time around though the company seem to have cracked it with their latest offering; although with reservations on my part. Continue reading

The Efficient New Honda HR-V

The all-new Honda HR-V, say the company, will be one of the most efficient cars in its class and boast an unmatched combination of sought-after attributes when it arrives in showrooms across the UK this Summer. As you can see in the images we like the dynamic styling, which, Honda say, has class-leading interior space and versatility coupled with advanced infotainment and safety technologies. Continue reading

The We Want It Here Department: Honda S660

You will have no doubt heard of the Japanese Kei-car, a category of small vehicles that, to make them more affordable and attract lower taxes, can have engines no bigger than 660cc. The European versions of the Suzuki Wagon R and the Daihatsu Copen came from that stable. Well, now there’s a new one. Continue reading
