Isuzu D-Max Pick-up 2017 Update

I like a pick-up truck. I like the utility of them, which is of course, the point. There’s a real usable versatility to them which suits for work, rest and play. Nowadays these behemoths of the byways are nowhere near as agricultural as they used to be, allowing now for more creature comforts. That doesn’t mean they have lost that ruggedness of old, it’s just a better overall package; not unlike the Isuzu D-Max featured here in Utah trim. Continue reading

Isuzu D-Max Blade – Why, It’s Sharper Than Ever!

Pick-ups, like the Isuzu D-Max Blade, are very versatile vehicles but we must not forget that they are working trucks designed to withstand a hard life shifting stuff and generally getting bashed about. In recent times however the pick-up has begun to assume some pretensions – getting above its station, as it were. Trucks sold in the UK never really match up to the massive machines sold over in ‘Murica but this new Isuzu D-Max Arctic AT35 Truck is starting to look the business. Continue reading

The Mighty Mitsubishi L200: Mighty Popular

Mitsubishi, DriveWrite AutomotiveAvid readers will recall I tested the previous incarnation of the Mitsubishi L200 pick-up (here) and found that it was very good within the limitations of this type of vehicle, obviously. Personally, I quite like a pick-up truck – there must be a rugged outdoors man inside of my soft city exterior – and see them as the ideal compromise motor for active families. Continue reading

Mitsubishi L200 Pick-Up: The Ideal Family Car?

Mitsubishi L200, driveWrite AutomotiveToday, I have to admit to bias in my review. I just love pick-up trucks. I can’t explain it. It may stem from childhood when I had not even considered being a writer or a photographer because I wanted to be – a lumberjack! Later I gleaned from a long gone television programme that part of being a lumberjack meant wearing ladies under-things. Now, endeavouring to get into ladies under-things has been part of my life’s work; just not in that way. Continue reading
