Audi: The Successful 18-Year Tenure In The WEC

The shock waves are still being felt in the motorsport world following Audi’s decision to end their campaign in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) at the end of the 2016 season. At the time of the sensational announcement, Audi’s motorsport boss Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich stated: “After 18 years in prototype racing that were exceptionally successful for Audi, it’s obviously extremely hard to leave.
